Whether or not we see you on May 18-19, 2012, at the First
2012 North American Conference of the International Christian Recovery
Coalition at His Place Church, Westminster, California, if you are a Christian
leader or worker in the recovery arena, we strongly encourage you to make use
of the following “old-school” A.A. spiritual tools, key pieces of “Conference-approved”
Literature,” and current materials on A.A. history and the Christian Recovery
Movement. All are easily obtained now. All are reasonably priced. Now is the time
to get your copies!
1.
The Holy Bible. (Early AAs almost exclusively used the
King James Version. Quotes and allusions in the Big Book come from this
version. The New International Version is the most popular “Modern English”
Bible version. And the Life Recovery Bible seems to be the most-used version in
the many recovery circles.)
2.
Alcoholics
Anonymous: The Original 1939 Edition, with an Introduction by Dick B., (Mineola,
N.Y.: Dover Publications, 2011): http://goo.gl/gnIxw.
3.
Dick B. and Ken B., Stick
with the Winners How to Conduct More Effective 12-Step Recovery Meetings Using
Conference-Approved Literature: A Dick B. Guide for Christian Leaders and
Workers in the Recovery Arena (Kihei, HI: Paradise Research Publications,
Inc., 2012). You may download this important guide right now for $9.95 from the
center column of the front page of the www.DickB.com
Web site.
