About Dick B. and Ken B.
In 1986, Dick B. was felled
by alcoholism, gave up his law practice, and began recovery as a member of the
Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. Since then, he has sponsored more than 100
men in their sobriety; traveled widely; researched at archives and libraries;
interviewed scholars, historians, clergy, A.A. "old-timers" and
survivors; participated in conferences, programs, panels, and seminars on early
A.A.'s spiritual history; and published 46 titles and more than 1,200 articles.
